ABOUT BUSHMANS RIVER LODGE :  Bushman's River Lodge offers a fully inclusive service, complete with your own game ranger and chef. The lodge is located along the Bushmans River with spectacular views. Accommodation is available for individuals, small groups or families. The lodge has been elegantly restored from its origins as a settler lodge and is situated in a scenic and historical area within Shamwari Reserve.  Being such an intimate lodge, the atmosphere is ultimately welcoming, giving one a feeling of being at home. The guests of the lodge have their own chef and personal game rangers, adding to the exclusivity of your visit to Bushman's River.

ACCOMMODATION :  Bushmans River Lodge has 4 suites and can accommodate 8 guests sharing, or 4 guests on a single room basis, making it one of the most intimate lodges in a private game reserve. The four spacious suites are beautifully decorated with an artistic and ethnic African touch with luxury bathrooms, heating and air-conditioning and sumptuous furnishings   - providing the touch of luxury that one associates with Shamwari Private game reserve.
 
LODGE FACILITIES :  A luxury lounge, dining room, bar and a thatched gazebo where you can look out for hippopotamus in the Bushman's River below. Dining can be inside in the stylish dining room or outside on the verandah overlooking the river and dense woodland depending on the weather. In winter and on cold nights, a glowing fire is lit in the lounge. In summer, there is a plunge pool to cool you down.

ACTIVITIES AVAILABLE : Activities from Bushman's River Lodge include morning and evening game drives or walking safaris, accompanied by your personal ranger.  Lions and leopards are frequent sightings.  Shamwari Game Reserve prides itself on the knowledge and professionalism of their rangers.
