ABOUT IMBALI SAFARI LODGE : Situated inside the Kruger National Park, 50kms from the Orpen Gate & 80kms from the Kruger Gate, Hoyo-Hoyo Tsonga Lodge falls within the greater Imbali concession area and is a unique location for your African safari being built of reed and thatch in the traditional manner.

ACCOMMODATION :  Hoyo Hoyo Tsonga lodge has 6 traditional Tsonga huts sleeping a maximum of 12 persons in double rooms with king-sized beds.  The huts are air-conditioned, have wooden walkways and private verandahs as well as an open tented lounge.  The en-suite bathrooms have romantic baths with views over the river and savannah. 

ACTIVITIES : Kruger Safaris are rewarding with early morning and evening game drives, walks with rangers, and bird watching with knowledgeable guides. 

GETTING THERE : Visitors to Hoyo Hoyo Tsonga lodge can fly or drive.  If driving, please remember the park entry fees for Kruger National Park.  The distance is just over 500kms from Johannesburg.   Follow signs to Hoyo Hoyo Tsonga / Hamiltons tented camp / Imbali lodge from either Orpen or Kruger Gates. 

Flights include the SA Express from JHB – Hoedspruit, SA Airlink from Cape Town or JHB to Hoedspruit.  Private Charters are also available to a private air-strip.   Transfers can be arranged from Eastgate Airport in Hoedspruit and KMI Airport outside Nelspruit.

HEALTH & COMFORT :  Hoyo Hoyo Tsonga Lodge is in a malaria area and malaria tablets are recommended all year round (Please consult your doctor).  Comfortable light clothing, walking shoes, sun hats, sunglasses, sun-block, insect repellent and bathing suits.  Don’t forget binoculars, camera and plenty of spare film..  During wintertime it is still warm during the day but it can become very cold on the game drives and at night.  It is advisable to bring warm insulated jackets.
