ABOUT HAMILTONS TENTED CAMP : Situated inside the Kruger National Park in the Limpopo Province, 50kms from the Orpen Gate & 80kms from the Kruger Gate, Hamiltons Tented camp falls within the greater Imbali concession area and is one of the luxury Kruger safari lodges catering to the more elite traveller.   Hamilton's Tented camp combines bush luxury with fantastic big 5 game viewing amongst a vast array of the animal and bird species common to the Kruger National Park.

CAMP FACILITIES : The safari lodge has a sparkling swimming pool and welcoming central lounge & dining area.  Guests can expect silver service, personalised cuisine and a butler service.  The safari lodge has land line telephones, but gets no cell phone signal.  At Hamiltons Tented Camp you are assured of 5* luxury with silver service and private butler service.

ACCOMMODATION :  There are only 6 tents at Hamiltons Tented Camp sleeping a maximum of 12 persons in double rooms with mosquito nets.  The tents are air-conditioned, have wooden walkways and private verandahs as well as an open tented lounge.  The en-suite bathrooms have romantic baths as well as an outdoor shower with views over the Ngwenyeni Dam.  In addition to the luxury of the rooms, guests are treated to their own swimming pool for the ultimate in privacy.   All rooms have an intercom for prompt and efficient service.  Bottled water is supplied in all rooms although the tap water is safe to drink.

ACTIVITIES : Being in the heart of Kruger National Park, kruger safaris and game viewing are the order of the day with early morning and evening game drives.  Rangers are available to take guests on guided game walks.  Guests are able to check-in  from 13h00 daily, and check-out is before 11h00, after a leisurely breakfast. 

GETTING THERE : Visitors to Hamiltons can fly or drive.  If driving, please remember the park entry fees for Kruger National Park.  The distance is just over 500kms from Johannesburg.   Follow signs to Hamiltons Tented Camp from either Orpen or Kruger Gates. 

Flights include the SA Express from JHB – Hoedspruit, SA Airlink from Cape Town or JHB to Hoedspruit.  Private Charters are also available to a private air-strip.   Transfers can be arranged from Eastgate Airport in Hoedspruit and KMI Airport outside Nelspruit.

HEALTH & COMFORT : Hamiltons Tented Camp is in a malaria area and malaria tablets are recommended all year round (Please consult your doctor).  Comfortable light clothing, walking shoes, sun hats, sunglasses, sun-block, insect repellent and bathing suits.  Don’t forget binoculars, camera and plenty of spare film..  During wintertime it is still warm during the day but it can become very cold on the game drives and at night.  It is advisable to bring warm insulated jackets.
