ABOUT THE GUEST HOUSE : Mama Mia guest house is based in Amanzimtoti, a 25 minute drive south of Durban City and beaches and 7 minutes from the Durban International Airport.  Mama-Mia Guest Lodge is situated on a dune overlooking the Indian Ocean in the suburb of Athlone Park - Amanzimtoti.  It is in close proximity to modern shopping amenities, various sporting and recreational facilities, only a few minutes drive to the beach, which is protected by shark nets, and not far from Tala Game Reserve and a crocodile farm.  Zulu dancers can be seen in Botha's Hill which is approx. half an hours drive away.  

GUEST ROOMS : Mama-Mia Guest Lodge is tastefully decorated in a "fusion of ethnic and colonial" theme with many interesting conversational pieces.  There are five spacious double rooms each individually decorated.  Every room has an en-suite bathroom, with shower, a TV with M-Net and tea and coffee making facilities.  The rooms are all individually decorated in their own comfortable and relaxing themes.

GUEST FACILITIES : Mama-Mia Guest Lodge has three "character" pubs where you can enjoy a sundowner at the end of a busy day.  Being so close to the sea guests can enjoy a drink on the deck high above the waves while whale watching (in season).  The views from this pub are quite spectacular and breath taking.  The patio pub overlooks the sub tropical garden that attracts many different bird species, a favourite spot in winter to enjoy the warm sun in the west.  Guests are welcome to relax on a lounger around the pool while sipping a cocktail from the pool bar or just relax in the lounge curled up with a good book.  Staff will set up a croquet game if requested.

NEARBY ATTRACTIONS : As Mama-Mia Guest Lodge is centrally situated there are various attractions available to guests;  There are numerous golf courses in close proximity, as well as a gym, bowls, tennis, squash and scuba diving at the world renowned Aliwal Shoal.  Tala Game Reserve and Crocworld are within a forty minute drive from us and so is Zulu dancing.  Movies and well appointed shopping complexes are close by.  The drive to Durban Central and it's beaches is only twenty five minutes on the motorway.  Dinners can be organised at the Guest House by prior arrangement or restaurant bookings made.  There are two fine dining options within a five minute drive with the one offering a "youthful" sports bar.
