ABOUT ILLYRIA HOUSE :  Illyria House is located on a secluded hilltop in Pretoria, an easy 25 minute drive from JHB International airport, and a few minutes drive from the luxury rail platforms at Pretoria Station.  This aristocratic manor has sweeping views and plenty of birdlife in the beautiful well kept gardens.  Gracious living is the theme upon entering the huge wrought iron gates to the property.  Illyria House is privately owned, with fine antiques, 17th century tapestries, classical music, groumet cuisine adding to the charm.

FACILITIES :  In addition to the stunning gardens and surrounds, Illyria House offers a Beauty and Wellness spa in a secluded part of the garden for an exclusive pampering experience and hairdressing by arrangement.  Guests areas include the guest lounge, dining room, sociable bar and patio.  The chef will prepare anything you choose, discussing options with you each day.  Butler service is exceptional, and services include taking care of guests every need whilst on the property as well as arranging a host of activities such as horse riding, golf, tennis, hiking, restaurant bookings, transfers and tour arrangements, shopping excursions etc.  A swimming pool is currently under construction and will be completed by December 2005.

ACCOMMODATION :  There are 6 large bedroom suites, each luxuriously and sumptuously furnished with heavy silks and brocades.  The rooms either have their own balcony or private verandah, one of which also has a jacuzzi.  The rooms all have air-conditioning and heating systems, tea and coffee making facilities, mini bars and are stocked with robes & slippers and fluffy towels. Each room has a TV with MNET, Satellite and local channels and a video or DVD player. The luxury en-suite bathrooms have both bath and separate showers. Hairdryers, shaver plugs and toiletries are some of the few extra touches supplied.

GETTING THERE : From R21 (from JHB International Airport) take signs to Nelson Mandela Drive (M3). Take M11 offramp and turn right along Walker Street towards Muckleneuk. Turn left into Bourke St, cross over Berea St and all small roads.  Illyria House is on the left side of the road - 327 Bourke St.
